1 stick margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
5 eggs, separated
2 c. Flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp.vanilla
1 c. coconut
1 c. pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour three 8-inch cake pans. Cream margarine and Crisco together; add sugar and egg yolks and mix well. In a separate bowl, mix flour and soda together. Alternately add flour, then buttermilk to sugar mixture. Add vanilla, coconut, pecans. Fold in egg whites. Pour into prepared cake pans. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes.

1 lb. box powdered sugar.
1 stick margarine
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
pecans, chopped

Directions:

Mix the powdered sugar with margarine and cream cheese; beat well. Spread over cooled cake layers. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
