Ingredients:  
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter (shortening)
3 cups flour
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk (buttermilk or sour)
1 1/2 teaspoon soda
2 large or 3 medium bananas (mashed)
1/2 cup nuts - dates - raisins - or other desired fruit
Add salt if not using butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Add beaten eggs and sour milk with soda dissolved in it.
3. Beat together.
4. Add nuts and bananas.
5. Add flour last and mix well.
6. Bake in small loaf pan at 325 degrees for one hour.
