3 c. Flour
⅔ c. Sugar
1 tbsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1½ c. Raisins
2 Eggs, Beaten
1¾ - 2 c. Buttermilk
2 tbsp. Shortening, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together in large bowl, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in raisins. Combine eggs, buttermilk and shortening. Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients and mix just until flour is moistened. Turn into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour. Remove from pan immediately. Allow to cool before slicing.
