1 lb elbow macaroni
1/2 cup salted butter
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 cups whole milk
8 oz grated cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Fill a large saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Stir in the macaroni and cook according to instructions on package for al dente. Remove from heat, drain well.

In another saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, onion powder and dry mustard. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes. Pour in milk and whisk until smooth. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly for 3-5 minutes. As it thickens remove from heat and stir in grated cheese.

Pour sauce over pasta and stir well to combine. Serve hot.
