6-8 ears of corn or 4 cups of kernels
6 slices of bacon
1 c. chopped onions
1/4 c. flour
2 c. chicken broth
1 c. water
2 c. cubed potatoes
2 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
dash of red pepper
2 c. of milk
2 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a 3 quart pan, cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper
towel. Discard all but 1 T. of bacon grease. Add
onions, saute until tender, about 5 minutes. Add flour
and pour in chicken broth and water, stirring constantly
until blended. Add corn, bacon, potatoes and
seasonings. Heat to a boil, then reduce heat to low and
simmer covered for 15-20 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Add milk and continue cooking until
heated through. Top with butter to serve.
