1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
4 c. flour
1 c. oil
2 eggs
1 tsp vainlla
½ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Roll in balls and dip in sugar. Flatten with a glass with a solid bottom, grease and flour if needed. Sprinkle with colored sugars in desired. Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes.
NOTE: Do not put dough in fridge.

These cookies are crisp and melt in your mouth. They were made often using green and gold sparkle sugars during the Clover Hill years for treats for marching band events. #bandkidsrock #green&goldbold
