You will need 3 (1 qt.) canning jars. To each quart jar add:
cucumbers
fresh dill or dill seed (*see note)
2 to 3 cloves garlic
1 to 2 hot peppers
Brine:
2 quarts water
1 quart 90 grain vinegar
1/2 c. canning salt

Directions:
Directions:
(*Note - if dill seed is used, add after draining off water.) Stuff cucumbers, garlic and hot peppers in sterilized jars. Bring tap water to a boil; pour over stuffed jars; let stand for 5 minutes. Drain off all hot water.

Combine water, vinegar and salt; bring to a boil and pour over cucumbers immediately after draining off hot water. Seal jars. Pickles should be ready in 3 to 4 weeks. Brine should be enough to fill 3 quarts. Save any leftover brine in refrigerator for another day.
