2 lbs. radiant mix
1 lbs. currants
4 cups walnuts
1 ½ cup honey
1 ½ cup dark fruit juice
6 cups shortening
7 ½ cup brown sugar (about 2 packages)
1 dozen eggs
18 cups flour
1 ½ tsp soda
3 tsp salt
6 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. cloves
3 tsp. mace

Directions:

Mix a little flour on radiant mix, currants, and nuts so each piece is completely floured. Cream shortening, honey and sugar. Add eggs. Sift ingredients. Add alternately with juice, radiant mix and fill greased, papered loaf tins. Bake at 275º for 2 ½ hours.
