2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 lb. whole cherries
1 lb. pineapple
½ lb. pitted dates cut up
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 lb-8 cups pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275º. Sift flour, baking powder, & salt into bowl. Add pineapple, cherries, and dates. Mix well with hands to coat fruit with flour. Beat eggs until frothy, slowly beat in sugar. Add to fruit and mix. Mix in pecans. Grease 5x3 pans, line with waxed paper. Add mixture and press down firmly. Bake very slow for 1-11/2 hours to 1 ¾ hours. Let cake stand in pan for 5 minutes. Remove and pull off wax paper. Tops side up and brush with white Karo syrup.
