½ LB ground italian sausage

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 (10½ oz) cans pizza sauce

1 T. cornstarch

1-2 tsp. oregano

½ tsp. garlic powder (1-2 garlic cloves, minced)

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 loaf good crusty french bread.

You could add pepperoni, or any additional toppings you like. Crushed red pepper would zest it up.

Directions:

Brown Sausage and onion; drain.

Put meat, pizza sauce, cornstarch, and spices in a fondue pot or small crockpot.

When warmed through after stirring add cheese.

Warm the french bread in the oven until, crunchy then cube it with a knife.

Serve warm with cubes of french bread on wooden skewers.
