2 lbs. all-purpose potatoes (peeled, cut into 2"chunks)
2 lg. cloves garlic
c. butter + additional (at room temp)
3 c. shredded cabbage (7 oz.)
1 c. milk (heated)
1 tbsp. chopped scallions
1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Directions:
Directions:
In lg. pot, combine potatoes and garlic with enough slated water to cover by 1".
Over high heat, bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium; cook until tender, 18-20 min. drain.
In same pot, melt c. butter over medium heat.
Add cabbage; cook, stirring occasionally, until golden, about 6 min.
Remove from heat; reserve.
Return potatoes to pot with cabbage and msh vegetables until blended.
Stir in milk, tsp. salt, tsp. pepper, and remaining butter.
If desired, serve topped with additional butter.
Sprinkle with chopped scalions and parsley.
