2 cups beans
1 pound of hamburger
1 large onion
1 green pepper
1 small can of tomato sauce
1/4 tsp cumin
1 Bay leaf
1/4 tsp garlic power
1 large can of tomatoes
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp sugar
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Wash and soak beans overnight. The next day, brown hamburger, onion, green pepper, garlic, cumin. Pour off excess grease. Add the rest of the ingredients, cook slowly for 1 to 2 hours until beans are tender. Remove Bay leaf before serving. If chili is too thick, add water.
