1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice (6 to 8 large lemons)
5 c. cold water
Lemon slices for garnish
Fresh mint sprigs for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
In a 2 quart pitcher, combine sugar and boiling water, stirring until sugar dissolves completely. Add lemon juice and cold water, stir well. Cover and chill. Serve over ice. Garnish glasses with mint sprigs and lemon slices, if desired.

Fresh Limeade: substitute an equal amount of fresh lime juice for the lemon juice.
