2 c flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3-4 T shortening
2/3 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º.

Mix and sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening using a pastry blender or two knives.
Add milk gradually to make a soft dough.

On a floured surface, knead gently and roll to 1/2 inch thick. Cut with a biscuit cutter or glass that is at least 3 inches wide. Dip cutter in flour and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown,
