2 T. Butter
6 T. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 T. powdered sugar
2 egg whites
1 pre-baked 9-inch pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325ºF. Melt butter in medium saucepan. Add flour, milk, chocolate, (broken in pieces), sugar and salt; and bring to a boiling point, stirring constantly until thick and smooth. Remove pan from heat; add beaten egg yolks and vanilla. Stir well until blended. Pour into baked pie shell.

Cover with meringue made by beating the powdered sugar into stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in a moderate 325º oven for 10 - 15 minutes or until meringue is a delicate brown.
