¼ c. wild rice
4 c. chicken stock
½ c. diced celery
¼ c. diced onion
2 TBSP slice fresh mushrooms (I use more)
½ c. diced green pepper
¼ c. butter
½ c. flour
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
¼ tsp garlic
2 TBS{ almonds
1 TBSP pimento
1 c. cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cook rice in stock until tender. In separate pan sauté celery, onion, mushrooms and green pepper in butter. Add flour and cool 1-2 minutes. To this add stock and rice, salt, pepper, garlic almonds and pimento. Check seasonings and add cream. Can be made ahead and reheated.

First made this soup in June of 1998 when living in Minnesota which is wild rice land. I like to pick up some wild rice when ever in the North Shore! #minnesotamemories
