1 cup sifted plain floor
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
2/3 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup pecans (chopped)
2 cups apples (sliced thin)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Once sifted add oats, brown sugar, butter, egg and vanilla. Press half of dough in the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch pan. Sprinkle pecans over the dough then spread apples on the pecans. Roll the remaining dough and place over apples. Press around the edges. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. When cool sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Cut into bars and let cool.
