1 can tomato soup
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 c small bread crumbs
1/4 c finely chopped onion
1 egg slightly beaten
1 small green pepper chopped fine
1 tsp salt
generous dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly 1/2 c of tomato soup and remaining ingredients. Shape firmly in a loaf. Place into a shallow baking pan. Bake at 350ºF for 1 1/4 hours.

Sauce:
Blend remaining soup with 1/4 c water and 2 tbsp drippings. Heat, stirring often. Serve with load.
