1 ½ cup shredded Gruyere
¾ cup shredded Ementhaler
¾ cup shredded Appenzeller
2 tbs corn starch

1 cup dry white wine
1 chopped garlic clove

1 shot kirschwasser

1 French baguette cut into bite size cubes

Directions:
Directions:
1) Combine shredded cheeses in large bowl or a large ziplock bag and toss with corn starch.

2) Pour wine into fondue pot and heat until bubbles start to form on the bottom of the pot and it is sort of "foamy looking. add the garlic.

3) Add cheese in handful size amounts and stir until it is combined with the wine in a circle 8 pattern. Continue slowly adding the cheese in handfuls until it is all added.

4) Let it heat until bubbly.

5) Serve with bread cut in cubes.

Our Grandma Eva was Swiss. This is our New Years Eve tradition! We have been having fondue and ringing in the New Year since childhood when we would celebrate on Taylors Island with our beloved neighbors... Ron and Bill. A favorite memory is the year we played a game of Clue that went late into the night ...
