1 c. butter
½ c. white sugar
½ c. brown sugar
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 c. flour
2 egg yolks (reserve the whites)
1 TBSP water
1 small package of chocolate chips
1 c. brown sugar (for topping)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together butter and next 7 ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips and spread in a 10x15" jellyroll pan. Beat together the egg whites and brown sugar. Spread this over the top and bake 25 minutes at 375º.

These delicious bars were often served at pot lucks at Christ Lutheran Church when I was growing up and I LOVED them!
