1 c. butter
c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. sifted flour

Frosting:
2 TBSP butter
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
tsp vanilla
4-5 tsp cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together cookie ingredients and chill. Shape into marble sized balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, flatten to inch. Mark a design with a fork. Bake at 325 for 9-12 minutes. Place 2 cookies together with a dab of frosting in the middle.

Frosting:
Brown butter in saucepan. Remove from heat, blend in powdered sugar. Gradually add vanilla and cram until spreading consistency.

This recipe comes from a Pillsbury Cook-Off Recipe Book my mom had when I was growing up. I loved looking at the photos and picking out treats I hoped she would bake. This is one of my favorites!
