1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. canned pumpkin
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 box of raisins

Frosting:
3 TBSP butter
2 TBPS milk
c. brown sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, pumpkin, eggs and salt. Add sifted flour, cinnamon, baking powder and soda and cream. Add nuts and raisins mixing well. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
For Frosting: Mix butter, milk and brown sugar in saucepan. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth and frost cooled cookies.

In November of 2000 I made these and served them at Savannah's Baptism Party in Lakeville, Minnesota. Her grandparents and godparents were all there for the celebration!
