1 pt fresh blueberries, washed
1 pt blackberries, washed

2 1/2 T cornstarch
1/4 tsp nutmeg

1 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.

Place peaches, blueberries and balckberries in a large bowl. Whisk together sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg. Pour over fruit and mix together until well blended. Pour into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes while preparing almond topping.
Sift flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt into a medium bowl. On the large hole side of a grater, grate the butter and almond paste into the flour mixture. Mix with fingers until the dough is the texture of small crumbs or use a pastry blender. Add buttermilk, and stir until just blended. To make sure you get tender biscuits don't over mix.

Remove baking dish from the oven, and drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls on top of hot fruit. Return dish to oven and bake another 35 minutes or until fruit is bubbly and biscuits are golden brown.

Delious warm or cold and served with vanilla ice cream.

Note: While pealing my peaches, I put them in a bowl with Fruit Fresh or lemon juice and water to prevent the peaches from darkening. Drain and follow directions on the recipe.
