Ingredients: 2 eggs, beaten
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ lb brown sugar
1 cup nuts, broken
½ stick butter, melted
Topping
¾ cup sugar
½ cup milk
½ stick butter
½ teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Preheat over to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix eggs with flour, baking powder, brown sugar, and melted butter. Add nuts and spread a thin layer in the pan. Bake for 50 minutes. Cool in pan and spread with topping.
Topping:
Mix sugar, milk, butter, and vanilla. Cook in a heavy saucepan until it forms a softball (234 degrees F). Cool, beat until thick, and spread on the cake in a pan.
