1 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup butter (2 sticks)
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
2½ cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
2 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Oreheat oven to 325º
2. Cream butter and sugars together - mix i eggs. and vanilla - add dry ingredients - mix to incorporate
3. Roll out rounded teaspoons of dough
4. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet about 2" apart
5. Bake 9-10 min (if your cookies are a little larger, it may take up to 15 min) I prefer these cookies slightly undercooked

This is not exactly the same cookie I use to make, but it is close. I am going to play around with the recipe and will make changes if I I come closer to the original one which somehow is lost or misplaced.
