4 quarts popped corn
1 pound gumdrops
1/2 pound salted peanuts
3/4 cup butter
1/4 cup salad oil
1 pound marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla
I have added mini M&M's

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a tube pan. Mix popped corn with candy and nuts. Malt butter, oil, marshmallows and vanilla. When melted pour over popcorn. Press firmly into greased pan. Put pan in refrigerator until set. Remover from pan and slice.

My Grandma Elma Petersen's brothers and his wife made this popcorn cake often. My sister has since carried on the tradition to make many popcorn cakes to give away at Christmas time. A few of her children have wanted on to celebrate their birthday.
