3 cups broken pretzels
3/4 cup butter
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1/2 container whipped topping
2 x 10 oz package frozen strawberries, thawed and drained, reserving liquid
1 medium can crushed pineapple, drained, reserving liquid
1 large package strawberry gelatin
1 package plain gelatin

Melt butter and toss with pretzels. Press into a 9x13 baking pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350. Allow to cool.

Mix cream cheese and sugar. Stir in whipped topping and spread over pretzel layer. Chill.

Using reserved liquid from strawberries and pineapple add water to make 2 cups liquid. Bring to a boil, and dissolve strawberry and plain gelatin. Allow to cool until nearly set, and add strawberries and pineapple. Pour over whipped layer and chill to set. Slice to serve.

Remember my grandmother Irene made it for Thanksgiving when I was a girl. Later when I was grown I got her recipe.
