Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup 1/2 and 1/2
2 eggs
1 frozen 9-inch pie shell
bacon, ham, sausage, chicken or beef
grated or cubed cheese, or parmesan cheese
sautéed onions, peppers, peas, carrots, celery, artichoke hearts, olives, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, cooked spinach, fresh parsley, etc.

Directions:
Directions:
Choose up to two meats and cheeses, especially using leftovers from your fridge.
Enhance with one or two cooked or leftover, fresh or frozen veggies or whatever addition would make your gang happy.
Use enough of the meat, cheese and veggies to cover the bottom of the pie shell. Do not overdo it here or you won't have room for the eggs.
Preheat oven to 350
In the pie shell, make a thin, even layer of up to 3 filling items. Season if desired.
In a bowl, whisk eggs and 1/2 and 1/2 to combine.
Open oven door, pull out rack, place pie shell on the center of the rack.
Gently spoon or pour over fillings in pie shell, being careful not to overfill the pie shell
because the eggs will expand during cooking
Gently push rack back into oven and bake pie until eggs are set, about 45 minutes
Allow pie to rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish creatively with things like black pepper, sour cream, parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, olives, salsa, onion dip or nacho cheese.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Many people also call this quiche. Based on similar recipe we saw on Good Eats TV show. Meats and most veggies should be precooked before putting in the pie shell.

Our favorite flavor combination:
cubed ham, sliced mushrooms, and swiss cheese, garnish with sour cream

Also recommend:
bacon, cooked onions and peppers, cheddar, garnish with parmesan
cooked leftover chicken, feta cheese, spinach or fresh parsley
canned chicken, cooked broccoli and shredded cheese
cubed ham, cheddar cheese and spinach
sausage, onions, peppers and shredded cheese
taco beef, onions, green chilis and shredded jack cheese, garnish with salsa
