Dressing
1 cup salad vinegar
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons salad oil
Salt and pepper to taste

1 # 3 can Blue Lake Beans, drained
1 # 3 can yellow wax beans, drained
1 # 3 can Kidney beans, drained
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, sliced thin

Directions:
Directions:
Make dressing by combining sugar and vinegar and bringing to boil. Cool; add salad oil, salt and pepper. Combine beans and other ingredients with dressing. Cover, refrigerate overnight. Keeps indefinitely.

This is a recipe Daddy always asked me to bring to Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner and other family gatherings. Somehow it is better than other similar recipes - I think it is because the dressing is first boiled.
