3 C. of all-purpose flour
1/2 C. Of sugar
2Tbsp. Baking powder
1tsp. Salt
1/4 C. Of melted butter, lard or canola oil
1 1/2 C. Water (or milk)
Optional: 1 beaten egg

Directions:
Directions:
1. Measure flour salt and baking powder into a large bowl. Stir to mix.
2. For melted butter and water over flour mixture. Stir with fork to make a ball.
3. turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and need gently about 5 to 10 times. Pat into a flat circle 3/4 to 1 in thick.
4. Cook in a greased frying pan over medium heat, allowing 15 minutes per side. Use two lifters for easy turning. may also be baked on greased baking sheet at 350ºF (175ºC) for 25 to 30 minutes.

Panic is also great summer campfire favorite. Mix it in all in advance and add water at the campsite wrap dough around a stick and cook over the fire. Or have a cast iron frying pan ready with melted butter for you to throw in the uncooked formed Bannock.
