2 t butter
1 t baking soda

Directions:
Spray a large pan with aluminum foil with nonstick cooking spray. In an iron skillet combine corn syrup, sugar, and water. Stir well. Cook until the mixture reaches the softball stage (235 F). Add pecans and stir constantly. Cook until the mixture reaches the hard crack stage (300 F). Remove from heat as soon as it hits 300F. Add butter quickly, baking soda, and vanilla. Baking soda will cause the mixture to lighten the foam. Stir well. Pour on the aluminum foil. Spread thin and allow to cool completely. Break into pieces and enjoy. NOTE: Found in Neighbors Alfa Magazine.
