2/3 c shortening or margarine
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 c mixed fruit
2 c buttermilk
1 c brown sugar
2 tsp soda
1 tsp nutmeg
2 c oatmeal
2 c raisins
Brown Sugar Sauce
2 c brown sugar
1 tbsp flour
1 tsp vanilla
1tsp rum flavouring
Pinch of salt
2 c boiling water
1tbsp butter
Directions:
Directions:
Mix all cake ingredients thoroughly and bake at 350º for 1 about hour.
Sauce
Mix first 5 ingredients together, add boiling water and cook over medium heat until sauce partially thickens. Stir in butter. Serve hot over pudding.
