1 c shortening
1 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
2 eggs
1 c chopped coconut
2 c flour
1 scant tsp soda
2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 c wheaties; or other cereal
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and add sugars; beat in eggs and mix well.

Add flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Add coconut, vanilla and Wheaties last.

Form walnut size balls with hands and put on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 375º for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool.
