3 c flour
3 c oatmeal, quick cook
1 c nuts, chopped
1 T cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 c sugar
2 c raisins
1 1/2 c water
1 c dates, chopped
1 c vegetable oil
1 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, oatmeal, nuts, spices, baking powder; set aside.

In a saucepan, mix sugar, raisins, water, chopped dates, oil, and baking soda. Bring to a boil and boil for 4 minutes. Pour into flour mixture.

Drop by teaspoonful onto a cookie sheet, 2-3 inches apart; allow for spreading.

Bake 375º for 10 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
