1 c white sugar
3/4 c Crisco
1 egg
4 T (1/4c) Brer Rabbit molasses

Cream together well; set aside.

2 c flour
2 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
3/4 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
Sift together and add to creamed mixture. Roll in balls and roll in sugar.

Bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes; or until center is done.
