3-5 quart pails of popped popcorn, salted
2 c. butter, melted
2⅔ c. sugar
1 c. Karo syrup
¾ tsp. cream of tartar
¾ tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, sugar, and syrup in a sauce pan and bring to boil. Add cream of tartar, boil until it registers at the hard ball stage on a candy thermometer.

Turn off heat and add baking soda and vanilla. Spread popcorn on buttered cookie sheets. Drizzle over. Toss until mixed, then let sit until cool. Break into pieces to serve.
