1 c. flour
½ t. baking soda
½ t. ground cinnamon
½ c. packed brown sugar
¼ c. sugar
1½ c. quick cooking oats
½ c. softened butter
1 egg
2 T. milk
1 t. vanilla extract
¾ c. dried sweetened cranberries or raisins

Preheat oven to 375º. In a large bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and brown sugar. Into another large bowl, combine sugar and oats. Add butter, 1 egg, 2 T. milk and 1 t. vanilla extract. Add to flour mixture. Beat at low speed until blended. Stir in cranberries or raisins. Drop by rounded spoonful onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies and 12-13 minutes for crisp cookies. Remove from baking sheets after 1 minute.
