Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Pizza Dough (see recipe)
1 Egg
Mozzarella cheese (depending on how
1 Cup Ricotta Cheese
2 TBSP Parmesan Cheese
Italian Seasoning

What To Use For Calzone Filling:
Meat | Ground beef, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage, etc.
Vegetables | Green peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc.
Cheese | While we enjoy mozzarella you are more than welcome to swap out to whatever cheese you like.
Feel free to create whatever flavors you want in your calzone. Just don’t overstuff or you will have a hard time sealing up the edge.

Directions:
Directions:
Lay your pizza on a lightly floured surface. Use a bowl or other round object to create a circle in your dough. Cut the circles and remove the excess dough.
Place a piece of mozzarella cheese on one side of each piece of dough.
Take a heaping spoon full of Ricotta cheese and place it on top of the mozzarella cheese.
Lightly beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush on the outer edge of each dough circle. Fold the dough over in half, making sure you have at least a half-inch border that you will crimp with a fork to seal.
Brush the top of each calzone with the egg wash.
Sprinkle each top with Parmesan cheese and Italian Seasoning.
Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees. I placed my tray in the lowest rack, you do not want your dough to brown too quickly. Cook for 6-7 min flipping once in the middle of cooking.
Serve hot

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Don’t Overstuff | If you overfill you will have a hard time crimping the edges.
Saute Vegetables | Feel free to saute the vegetables if you prefer tender vegetables.
Dough | Feel free to buy dough or make your own if you prefer a homemade dough.

What To Serve With Calzones
Side Salad is a nice light side that helps to bring down the heaviness of the dish. Feel free to do a wedge salad or tossed.
Vegetables are another great option. You can pair your favorite vegetable next to your calzones. This is a great way to get extra vegetables in your child’s diet.
Fresh Vegetables and Dip Serve up some crisp veggies and dip for a crunchy side.
Fruit can be a nice option as well. Whether freshly cut or a fruit salad.
