2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup salted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract (or use more vanilla)
2 large eggs
2 1/2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups sweetened flaked coconut
1 1/4 cups sliced almonds

In a medium size mixing bowl, use a whisk to sift together the flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Set aside.
In a separate medium size mixing bowl use an electric mixer to cream together butter, sugars and extracts. Beat on medium-high speed for 2 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Lower the speed of the mixer and gradually add the sifted dry ingredients to the creamed mixture in the bowl. Beat until fully combined, stopping to scrape down the sides of the bowl occasionally.
By hand, mix in the chocolate chips, coconut and almonds. Mix until evenly distributed.
Cover the bowl and chill for at least 1 hour or overnight.
To bake: preheat oven to 350º. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
Use a 2oz small scoop or a tablespoon to drop into rounds on the sheet pan.
Leave at least 2 inches between.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes then remove to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days.
