Meaty soup bones- (if you want more meat in it; I have browned a pound of ground beef; or you can brown stew meat and add to it).
1 onion, chopped
6-8 cloves garlic, chopped
Salt, pepper, vegeta, garlic powder: to your taste.
Quart or more of chopped tomatoes
Quart of raw or frozen green beans
Cover with water- 3 inches above in ingredients and simmer till soup bone meat falls off bones.
Add some ketchup to soup for color and flavor. (To your taste).
Then add thick noodles and when noodles are done; soup is ready.

I grew up on this. There was no recipe; so I made it from memory and wrote it all down. I think it was a Croatian soup my grandmother made.
