1 lb. asparagus trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces 1 lb. fettuccine 3 tbsp olive oil 30 large shrimp peeled and deveined 2 chopped cloves garlic 1/2 cup parmesan cheee salt/pepper and rind zest of 2 lemons

Drop asparagus in boiling water for 2 min. Take out and put in bowl of ice water. Bring same water back to a boil drop in fettuccine cook 8-10 min. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water. In a skillet heat 1 tbsp olive oil add shrimp garlic salt pepper cook 2 min. Now add asparagus and cook another 2 min. Return pasta and pasta liquid to a pot and add remaining oil lemon rind and 1/2 parm cheese Season to taste. Divide into 6 bowls add shrimp and asparagus on top and remains cheese and parsley
