1 c butter, room temp
1c sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c flour
3/4 c finely chopped walnuts
1 10oz jar of preserves (apricot, raspberry or pineapple)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk and mix well
Stir in flour
Add walnuts and blend well (Dough will be soft)
Divide dough in half
Spread half in 9x13 baking dish
Cover with preserves
Drop remaining dough in little pieces over the preserves
Make sure dough is all around edges - press in a little
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown
Cool slightly before cutting into squares
