1/2 c butter, soft
1 c flour, sifted
2 tbsp water

1/2 c butter
1 c water
1 c flour
3 eggs
1 tsp almond extract
Almond slices

1 1/2 c confectioners sugar
2 tbsp butter, soft
1 1/2 tsp almond extract
1-2 tbsp warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Cut 1/2 c butter into 1 cup flour. Sprinkle 2tbsp water over mixture
Mix with fork, round into a ball. Cut into 2 balls
On greased sheet pat each ball into 12x3 rectangle about 3" apart

In saucepan bring 1/2 c butter and 1c water to a boil
Remove from heat and stir in extract and flour quickly. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball
Remove from heat
Beat in eggs
Put 1/2 on one rectangle and half on the other
Bake 60 minutes until crisp & brown

Mix confections sugar, butter, extract and water.
Pour glaze over puff
Sprinkle with almonds
