1/2 c butter, softened
1/2 c butter flavored shortening
1 c light brown sugar, packed
1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1-1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves (I made mine a heaping 1/2 tsp)
1/2 tsp salt
3 c rolled oats
1 c golden raisins

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, shortening, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt together.

Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture and stir to combine.

Stir in oats and raisins.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 10-12 minutes or until light and golden. Do not over bake. Let cook 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet to cool completely.

Store in airtight container.
