Pumpkin Bread Recipe

Annie Perkins via Erickson Family Cookbook


3 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cloves
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
4 eggs
1 c water
1 c vegetable oil
2 c pumpkin
1 c raisins
1 c nuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 325.

Cream together sugar, water, oil, eggs and pumpkin. Combine all dry ingredients and whisk together. Slowly add liquid mixture to flour mixture and mix well.

Pour into 2 large, greased loaf pans. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Fill pans half full.
