1/2 c mashed potato flakes
1 tsp sugar
2 T butter, softened
1/2 c hot water
1/3 c cold water
3 c prepared biscuit mix ( Bisquick)
milk for biscuit tops, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º.
Combine potato flakes, sugar, butter and hot water; mix well.
Add cold water and biscuit mix, stirring until well mixed.
Add a little more cold water if necessary to make dough soft.
Turn out onto lightly floured surface; knead about 10 times.
Roll dough to 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick; cut with biscuit cutter or jar lid.
Place on an uncreased baking sheet
Brush with milk if desired
Bake 13 minutes or until light brown
