2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 cup Italian style bread crumbs
1 can (8 oz.) tomato Sauce - divide into 6 oz. and 2 oz.
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Combine meat, bread crumbs, 6 oz. tomato sauce, onion, green bell pepper, and egg in a large bowl. Mix well (I mix these ingredients with my hands; it's gooey, but effective).

Press mixture into a 9x5 loaf pan.

Bake for 45 minutes.
Drain fat.
Spread remaining 2 oz. tomato sauce over the top and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Slice and serve.
