3/4 c. shortening
11/2 c. sugar
3 well beaten eggs
3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 9 oz. package of mincemeat
3 tbl. water
1c. broken walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Throughly cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat until light. Sift flour with salt and baking soda; add 1/2 to cream mixture; add finely crumbled mincemeat and water; mix until blended. Add nuts and remaining flour. Beat well. Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees 10 to 15 minutes.

I add the water to the finely crumbled mincemeat at the beginning and set aside until needed.
