1/4 pound (1 stick) of butter
3 garlic cloves (minced)
2 tbsp thyme
.5 tbsp sea salt
1 tbsp black pepper
*optional* 1 tbsp of Herbes de Provence
Stonewall Kitchen Roasted Garlic Onion Jam
3-6 Portobello Mushrooms
Brioche bread

PREP:
Preheat oven to 425
Cut crusts of all sides of brioche bread
Mince garlic
Peel tops off of portobello mushrooms


Melt butter in small saucepan on stove top (low heat), while butter is melting add ingredients (add minced garlic first)
Stir occasionally (do not let boil)
Once ingredients are melted into the butter, brush mixture on to top and bottom of brioche slices
Next brush remaining butter mixture on top and bottom of mushrooms
Place finished mushrooms on top of butter-painted bread upside down (top of mushroom touching bread)
Pop in oven for 20-25 minutes (recommend checking oven every 10 and rotating pan)

Recipe can be used to make 3-6 mushrooms, you can always add more butter and tinker with amounts to make more or less of these delicious apps!
