5 qt popcorn (I do airpopped popcorn)
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Pop popcorn in batches and put into 250 degree oven.

Mix butter, sugar and syrup, boil for 5 minutes. Add salt, remove from heat, add baking soda, whip to foam, pour over popcorn. Mix well, put in oven.

Mix every 15 minutes for 50 minutes.

Mama used to occasionally make caramel popcorn. I asked her for the recipe and I happened to find her handwritten recipe when looking through some old documents. Now, it's a favorite treat that we make for friends.
